Web Solutions Developer Position Available

Younger Associates has two integrated divisions, a national market research firm specializing in economic development, and a marketing/advertising division specializing in professional services including medical, legal, finance, and real estate.

We are a growing company with headquarters in Jackson, TN and a branch office in Memphis. We currently are looking to fill the position of Web Solutions Developer on our team and are seeking a highly qualified candidate. Salaries for all positions depend on experience and qualifications.

The Web Solutions Developer position is a dynamic job that interfaces with clients and with the entire Younger Associates team. This position works with the graphic design team and marketing services managers to create custom web sites that serve the marketing needs of clients. This position also builds custom web-based market research tools. The Web Solutions Developer also serves as the IT specialist for internal network and system support.   

Necessary Skills:

• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to multi-task multiple projects
• Strong understanding of web production
• Proven collaborative success working with a team

Web Design:

• Strong HTML layout skills (Illustrator -> HTML)
• A basic understanding and desire to learn about SEO
• Proficiency in Flash with minimal Actionscript experience
• Dreamweaver proficiency
• Proven usage of W3C standards (XHTML, CSS, AJAX, XML)
• Understanding of Joomla, or other similar content management systems

PHP/MySQL:

• Relational database design
• PHP/MySQL development in a LAMP environment
• User permissions setup using PHPmyAdmin
• Database connectivity using PHP
• Working knowledge of SQL (Select, Update, Insert, Delete, Join)
• Session handling (Session, Cookie)
• Script security (SQL Injection, Authentication)

Server Admin:

• Understanding of domains & DNS
• Database permissions / ftp file permissions
• Managing hosting plans
• Email administration and system load monitoring

Computer Support:

• Ability to troubleshoot e-mail issues over the phone regardless of operating system, e-mail program, client computer proficiency
• Manage & setup both PC & Mac backup solutions
• Mange local firewall, internal services, VPN
• Resolve printer and internet connectivity issues over the network
